The conference’s programme committee is delighted to announce that Professor Bilge Demirköz from Middle East Technical University in Turkey, will give the closing keynote: ‘A prelude to a long journey: from Big Data to Scientific Wisdom’. A leading physicist whose international experience includes 15 years at CERN working on the ATLAS experiment, Professor Demirkoz is currently the director of the Research and Application Center for Space and Accelerating Technologies at METU.

Since the last EaPEC in 2019,  the EaPConnect project is able once again to utilise the EaPEC’s platform to give the research and education communities in the Eastern Partnership countries and the EU member states, the opportunity to interconnect in Baku. We are grateful to this year’s host AzScienceNet and look forward to them sharing their experience of EaPConnect and their expectations for the future of research and education in Azerbaijan.
